It is found by child psychologists that when children play with wooden toys, their emotional state are significantly more composed than when they are playing with toys made of plastic or metal.
Furthermore, as with most traditional wooden block toys, the shapes of these wooden toys are a lot more simple because they are all handmade (unlike plastic toys that are injected through a mould in their mass-manufacturing process) with minimal machine intervention. As a result, wooden toys are often not likeness-based. The low realism of the wooden models that children build can improve their creativity and improvisational play skills, thus further adding to the development of a child’s right-side brain (click to link).
